PLEASE NOTE: was founded as a public service toĪmateur and professional woodworkers who enjoy using and/or restoring vintage machinery. With a little experimentation, I was able to restore it by using a 1" OD Motorcycle Fork Spring, of about 20 Inches in length, that is very close to the original spec! Now Aligned, the control now works very well and returns the very heavy steel foot piece & arm to the top as well as lifting the drill. The rare Foot Control was only missing the vertical Rod, Spring(s) and stop collars, but mostly complete. ![]() Although the Pullies have been replaced the 15 Inch Series 900 Drill Press is mostly original and in very good condition. Acquired locally: I purchased it in Marietta, SC from a gentlemen who purchased it from the family that had bought it originally from Walker Turner in the 40's. ![]()
